Chaga is the highest known antioxidant substance and has very strong immune enhancing, anti-viral, geno-protective, and adaptogenic properties. Chaga is the highest food source of Melanin. Melanin is concentrated in the skin, iris, inner ear, nervous system, and pineal gland. Melanin may be the single most important nutrient required by the pineal gland which is considered our spiritual center or higher consciousness. Melanin is used by the body as a potent antioxidant, to absorb harmful UV radiation, and even neutralize radioactive treatments. Additionally, the ORAC score of wild chaga is 35,000 and contains a very high amount of alkaline forming minerals.

Brewing Instructions: Chaga tea is best made with the highest quality water possible. Spring water is best. Use between 1-2 Tb for every liter of water. Steep in hot water for a minimum of 15 minutes and up to 12 hours. Try to keep water from boiling. A crock pot on low setting works very well. Chaga tea does not need to be refrigerated and can be left out for up to 3 days after brewing. Reuse again and again until the water is no longer dark and then dispose of in your garden. Add sweeteners such as honey or our sugar free Sweet'n and drink warm. Chaga tea is also a great base for tonics and smoothies. Enjoy!
This tea provides another way to consume the valuable mushroom Chaga. Steeping the loose tea for 8 hours in a slow cooker is perhaps the most effective option, along with taking 1 dropper full of Chaga tincture per day. This gives you access to both the alcohol- and water-soluble components of the mushroom.
